La guía más ‘Chic’ de New York

Hace unos meses Glamour me encargó hacer la una guía de New York con una selección de lugares ideales para visitar durante Fashion Week, o como ellos titularon ‘La Guía Más Chic de NY’ . Esta guía se publicó en el especial Pasarelas de Octubre y como yo nunca me canso de estos sitios también os los quiero enseñar en mi blog. Sitios ‘muy top’ en la gran manzana para salir a comer, hacerte la manicura o pasar una noche especial…

It’s been a few months since Glamour asked me to make a guide of New York with a selection of great places to visit during Fashion Week, or as they titled ‘The Chic Guide of NY’. This guide was published in the special walkways of October and because I never tire of these places I also want to tell you about it in my blog. These are the ‘very top’ places in the big apple for eating out, a manicure or a special night.

Sant Ambreous Soho.

Empezamos con un restaurante, Sant Ambreous Soho es la ultima apertura de la cadena de restaurantes Italianos que lleva décadas en la ciudad y que tiene establecimientos ya míticos el de Uptown, South Hampton o West Village, este  ultimo hasta esta ultima apertura del de Soho era mi favorito. En Sant Ambreous puedes comer un risotto espectacular, unos sandwiches de morir y el mejor cafe de la ciudad. El restaurante de Soho es ademas un lugar ideal para quedar a tomar unos cocteles en su barra.

We start with a restaurant, Sant Ambreous Soho is the lastest opening of the chain of Italian restaurants that has been in the city for decades and is already legendary in Uptown, South Hampton and West Village. The latest one that was opened in Soho is my favorite. In Sant Ambreous you can eat a spectacular risotto, sandwiches to die for and the best coffee in town. This Soho restaurant is also an ideal place to have a few cocktails at the bar as well.

And of course the best part about Sant Ambreous is that they have my favorite chocolate cake.

The Wythe Hotel.

Este Hotel esta en Williamsburg, mi barrio y uno de los barrios de moda de la ciudad. Este hotel abrió hace 3 años y desde su apertura se ha convertido en uno de los lugares de referencia en la zona. Acogedor, con un bar en la terraza de vistas privilegiadas, es especialmente famoso en verano por sus fiestas. Ademas de la terraza, en El Wythe hay una sala de cine, un espacio para Pop-Ups en el loby y el famoso restaurante Reynad, de los dueños de Marlow and Son.

This hotel is in Williamsburg, my neighborhood and one of the trendiest neighborhoods of the city. This hotel opened three years ago and since its opening has become one of the landmarks of the area. Cozy, with a bar on the terrace with spectacular views, is especially famous for its festivals in summer. Besides the terrace, in the Wythe there is a movie theater, a space for Pop-Ups in the lobby and the famous Reynad restaurant, from the owners of Marlow and Son.

Omar’s La Ranita.

Este es un Club privado en Manhattan cerca de Chelsea. Un lugar casi escondido y solo apto para miembros. Este lugar me encanta por su decoración, ambiente familiar y ese aire que nos recuerda a un New York de otra época más glamourosa, además es el favorito de celebrities como Julian Moore o super poderosas newyorkinas como Anna Wintour.

This is a private club in Manhattan near Chelsea. A place practically hidden and only for members. I love this place for its decoration, family atmosphere and the air that is reminiscent of a New York in a more glamorous era, it is also the favorite of celebrities like Julian Moore and super powerful Newyorkers like Anna Wintour.

Fivestory es una de esas tiendas de las que no te quieres perder. Un espacio que ya os enseñe en mi video de los looks de la primavera (aquí os dejo el link a ese post). Ubicada en pleno Uper East Side, la tienda discurre entre las dos primeras plantas de un Town House. La decoración del espacio, sofisticada y acogedora a la vez se combina con una impecable selección de prendas y diseñadores, todo ello es el resultado del trabajo de Claire, fundadora y alma mater de Fivestory. Ella ha sabido combinar de manera sublime en este templo de las compras como ninguna otra tienda, el lujo y la tendencia.

Aquí puedes encontrar jóvenes diseñadores Americanos como Rosie Assoulin, Paula Mendoza y Alexander Wang o las marcas internacionales más prestigiosas del momento como Acne, Olympia Le-Tan o JW.Anderson.

Entre sus clientes frecuentes se encuentran Leandra Medine del blog The Man Repeller, diseñadoras como Jennifer Fisher además de una larga lista de editoras de moda o Hanna Bronfman, la nueva guru del deporte en NY.

Fivestory is one of those stores that do not want to miss. An space about which I showed you in my video of looks from the spring (here I leave the link to that post). Located in the Uper East Side, the store runs between the first two floors of a Town House. The decor of the space, sophisticated and cozy at the same time combined with an impeccable selection of garments and designers, all this is the result of the work of Claire, founder and alma mater of Fivestory. She has combined in a sublime way in this temple of shopping as any other store, luxury and trend.
